And when I was 20, I thought by the time the new millennium came, with its Y-2k issue, that it would not be my problem because I would probably be fine to be dead since I’d be so old (the ripe old age of 31) by then.

Meeting Erickson https://kemilahypnosis.com/daily-trance/meeting-erickson/ https://kemilahypnosis.com/daily-trance/meeting-erickson/#respond Fri, 25 Jun 2021 05:11:06 +0000 https://kemilahypnosis.com/?p=7580 But my true answer is that I practice “Kemilian”. That sounds quite funny. But then, the unconscious mind processes information 11 million bits per second. As a hypnotherapist trusting her own unconscious mind, I think that’s a very appropriate answer to the question of my practice, including the sound of it.

The reptilian brain, by far the oldest and simplest part of our brain, is responsible for our survival. It is a system from ancient times which caused an individual to either fight or run for protection when real physical danger was present, such as a large hungry animal. Today people don’t have to face the issue of survival on a daily basis. Yet this component still exists in our biology and can be easily activated, in most people, when a danger is real or when it is just imagined to be real, such as with fear of abandonment, or fear of not being good enough.

Three Tips to Make Self-Hypnosis Fun and Effective https://kemilahypnosis.com/daily-trance/self-hypnosis/three-tips-to-make-self-hypnosis-fun-and-effective/ https://kemilahypnosis.com/daily-trance/self-hypnosis/three-tips-to-make-self-hypnosis-fun-and-effective/#respond Wed, 30 Jan 2013 02:14:25 +0000 http://kemilahypnosis.com/?p=1468 One thing I saw in teaching self-hypnosis a lot was impatience. The reason people get impatient with any practice is that they want a certain outcome, and they want the outcome right now.

Attachment to outcome causes impatience; however, whenever we have fun, we don’t feel time pass. We enjoy the process and we don’t care about the ending.

So, to make your self-hypnosis practice effective, the first key is to make it fun. How do we do that?

When our Critical Factor is bypassed, we can then begin learning from the right state: the Flow State, so we can allow ourselves to lose ourselves in the task.
